The President of the Municipality of Pljevlja, Dario Vraneš, published on his Instagram profile a record from which it can be seen that he gave a statement to the police because, as he claims, he sang Serbian songs with the fiddle in front of the monastery of the Holy Trinity in Pljevlja a few days ago after the traditional national assembly on the occasion of the celebration of the temple.
“This was not even during the time of the DPS. Yesterday I gave a statement at the police station because I sang Serbian songs with the fiddle in front of the monastery of the Holy Trinity. I have been singing those same songs with my people since 1990, but until now no one has called me to the police. It was here, in front of our ancient shrine from the Nemanjić era, that I learned the first lines of the songs: ‘Who says that, who lies, Serbia is small’, ‘Oj Vojvodo Sinđelić’, ‘Serbia the trumpet is heard from Kosovo’, ‘From the head of Zeta to the city of Spuž’, and many others. WE SING AND WILL SING!!! UNTIL THE YEAR IN PRIZREN, wrote Vraneš.
In the minutes, he stated that on May 31, he was the godfather-host of the temple glory of the Monastery of the Holy Trinity.
“Like every year, after the end of the liturgy and the breaking of the slavic cake on the terrace of the monastery, a feast of love was arranged – a lunch for the guests. The celebration itself was attended by about 3,000 people, guests. During the whole day, I sang dozens of Serbian songs along with the fiddle with the faithful Serbian people. Sandžaka can’t go up there, because she won’t go to Peter the King. Vladislav Dajković, who was visiting Pljevlja yesterday, has nothing more to say about this,” says the minutes.
So far, the Police Administration has not made any announcement regarding the allegations of the President of the Municipality, nor is it known whether any proceedings have been initiated against him.
