The Pentagon released this Friday (12) a third batch of files about alleged UFO sightings. The material contains reports of glowing, sometimes red, orbs seen by people in northeastern Africa. United States.
The first two batches were made public on May 8th and 22nd. donald trump is the latest president to release U.S. government reports on unidentified flying objects, a revelation process that began in the late 1970s.
This Friday’s release of “unidentified anomalous phenomena” (UAP) brings together 72 files from the FBI, CIA and Pentagon and includes testimonials, videos and artistic representations. Reports refer to sightings of spheres or orbs in the same region of the northeastern USA.
A February file cites FBI interviews with two people who reported seeing an intense, bright light in the middle of their backyard one night. The identities of the interviewees and their exact location were hidden.
One person “described the color red as being bright and beautiful, and that (excerpt omitted) he had never seen anything that color red before,” according to the FBI report.
The red sphere, about a meter wide, contained a “white plasma sun” the size of a basketball at its center, according to the document.
People noticed a second orb and the two appeared to be connected as they moved away. They reported seeing several white spherical bodies a few weeks later flying over the house at a much higher altitude, the FBI report said.
A similar interview in July 2025 referenced previous reports of orbs.
“This observation occurred less than 25 miles from the ‘Triangular Orbs,’ ‘Red Orb Rotation,’ and ‘Orbs Over the Lake’ sightings, in a well-known location that is sparsely populated,” according to the FBI report.
One case from October 2024 describes a light source below the horizon line, hovering over a lake. “The luminous object resembled a ‘plasma-like sphere’ that intermittently changed shape and luminosity. At times, the main light source appeared to separate into smaller points of light,” according to the report.
“These files, hidden behind classifications, have long fueled speculation — and it’s time for the American people to see this for themselves,” Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth said in a statement.
