Referring to the remaining American equipment in Afghanistan, US President Donald Trump said that the US may be able to take this equipment back, but according to him, the Taliban is now flattering the US.
On the sidelines of the Group of Seven meeting in Paris, in a press conference, he once again criticized the way the US withdrew from Afghanistan during the Joe Biden administration and said that his previous administration was supposed to withdraw from Afghanistan, but to do so with dignity and honor and by withdrawing all military equipment.
But according to him, the Biden administration left all the equipment.
“They left all the equipment,” Trump said. Maybe I can get all that equipment back. Now there’s a point, it’s more symbolic, because it’s a bit old now, but maybe we can get it all back!”
Trump has said many times before that his administration will take back the remaining American equipment in Afghanistan.
The US left Afghanistan in 2021 based on the agreement signed by the previous Trump administration with the Taliban.
After the withdrawal of America and NATO, the Afghan government fell into the hands of the Taliban and this group took over all the remaining military equipment.
Trump has repeatedly criticized the way the Biden administration left Afghanistan and called it shameful.
He has also commented many times about the Bagram base, which was once the main headquarters of American forces in Afghanistan, and said that America will take this base back.
