Nguyen Quoc T., a resident of Ho Chi Minh City, owns the land lot, which houses the nine illegally-built bungalows, located in the Ham Ninh area.
Authorities have ordered him to restore more than 1,000 square meters of reclaimed coastal land.
Investigators found that the landowner had encroached on tidal flats to construct several structures, including rental accommodations and concrete pillars supporting a pier extending into the sea.
The developments directly affected the Phu Quoc Marine Protected Area.
Nearly 800 square meters of the impacted area were occupied by the nine bungalow units.
In addition to restoring the site to its original condition, he has been asked to return over VND44 million (US$1,670), the illegal profit obtained through the violations in accordance with regulations.
Over the past several days, the owner of the bungalow complex had begun dismantling parts of the structures and removing furniture and other belongings from the site ahead of the enforcement action.

The demolition follows a series of inspections recently conducted by local authorities.
Officials repeatedly documented violations and issued administrative penalties, requiring the owner to rectify the situation and restore the affected area.
