This is a surprise! Who blocked England at the World Cup

England’s national team drew 0-0 with Ghana’s national team in Group L of the World Cup on Tuesday night.

In the arena in Boston, the first opportunity belonged to the English, Declan Rice sending a shot from outside the box just over the goal. Rice also had a dangerous header in the 37th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Kane tried his luck at the Ghanaian goal, without success, in the 45th + 3rd minute, and went into the break with a clean sheet.

And in the second half the attacks of the Europeans hit the Ghanaian defensive wall, the attempts that carried the mark of Madueke or Kane being stopped by the safe defense of Quieroz’s team. Prince Adu broke into the English box in the 78th minute but lost the ball and the phase ended. Saka shot in the 86th minute but Asare made the save and a minute later O’Reilly hit the bar, the ball rebounded into the box and Kane sent it over the bar.

In the end, England and Ghana finished 0-0 and both teams have four points each. For Tuchel’s team, the Panama match follows, which must be won for the English to go from first place to the round of 16.

    ENGLAND: Pickford – R. James, Konsa, Guehi, Spence (O’Reilly 65) – E. Anderson (E. Eze 73), D. Rice – Gordon (B. Saka 65), Bellingham (M. Rogers 73), Madueke (Rashford 83) – Kane. COACH: Thomas Tuchel

GHANA: Asare – Senaya (Oppong 87), Adjetey, Opoku, G. Mensah – Partey – Inaki Williams (Fatawu Issahaku 65), Yirenkyi, Sibo, Semenyo – Jordan Ayew (Prince Adu 65; Baba Rahman 90+5). SELECTOR: Carlos Queiroz

    Yellow cards: D. Rice 41 / Inaki Williams 60

    Referee: Said Martinez (Honduras)
