The city of Tokmak, Zaporizhzhia region
The Russian company “Reale Engineering Invest” will develop the Veliko Tokmak manganese deposit in the occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region.
About this writes The Moscow Times from link to the Russian publication Kommersant.
According to the publication, the enterprise received a license for mining minerals in February 2026, and in April began geological exploration.
It is noted that 25.1% of the company belongs to the Rostec structure of RT-Business Development LLC.
The Veliko Tokmak deposit is one of the top 5 global manganese deposits in terms of reserves, which amount to 1.7 billion tons.
It significantly exceeds Russia’s largest Usynskoye deposit in the Kemerovo region (127.7 million tons) and Porozhinskoye in the Krasnoyarsk Territory (29.46 million tons).
At the same time, industrial manganese mining in Russia is carried out only at one deposit in Bashkiria.
More than 90% of this metal, which is used to improve the properties of steel, is purchased by Russia abroad.
The publication notes that the construction of a mining and beneficiation plant near the deposit has already begun, which will employ about 3,000 people.
We will remind:
Egypt more will not accept grain exported by Russia from temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories.
