Martyr Al-Hafiz, June 11, 2026 (SPS) – Today, Thursday, the Presidency of the Republic held a memorial ceremony for the martyr, member of the National Secretariat and commander of the First Field Brigade, Habib Muhammad Abdel Aziz, and his fellow heroic martyrs.
The memorial ceremony was attended by the President of the Republic, the Secretary-General of the Front, Mr. Ibrahim Ghali, members of the Permanent Office of the National Secretariat, a number of members of the National Secretariat and the government, members of the National Council, representatives of the Sahrawi People’s Liberation Army, representatives of various national institutions and Sahrawi civil society activities, in addition to the family of the deceased.
The memorial ceremony witnessed the delivery of speeches that addressed the virtues and characteristics of the martyr, and the contributions he made throughout his struggle career full of achievements, in various fields and leadership positions entrusted to him within the military institution, through which he rose through its various ranks.

Those involved in the eulogy were unanimous in their praise of the late man’s good conduct throughout his struggle, from the time he joined the ranks of the Front, through the stations and responsibilities he held, in which he performed well.
They also enumerated the martyr’s virtues, highlighting his devotion to the cause of his people, his dedication to work, his courage, frankness, humility, and wisdom.

The Presidency of the Republic had mourned the field commander and commander of the 1st Field Reserve Brigade and member of the National Secretariat, Mr. Lahbib Muhammad Abdel Aziz, who rose as a martyr on the Field of Honor along with two of his comrades-in-arms on Sunday, June 7, 2026, and declared mourning for three days.
