Al-Shahid Al-Hafiz, June 8, 2026 (SPS) – Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Affairs, Mr. Mohamed Yeslem Bisset, met with the Personal Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General to Western Sahara, Mr. Staffan de Mistura, who is leading a visit to the Sahrawi party.
The meeting was attended by the representative of the Front at the United Nations, the coordinator with the MINURSO mission, member of the National Secretariat, Dr. Sidi Mohamed Ammar, and Mohamed Mouloud Mohamed, Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic.
In a statement to the media, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Affairs explained that he discussed with Mr. de Mistura the efforts of the United Nations to search for a just, fair and transparent solution that guarantees the Sahrawi people their inalienable right to self-determination and independence.
