Based on article 17(1) of the Police Law of 2004 (N.73(I)/2004), Mr. Themistos Arnaoutis, Chief of Police, with the approval of the Minister of Justice and Public Order, Mr. Costas Fitiris, decided today the dismissal of a probationary police officerwho was arrested on June 4, 2026 after vials of anabolic substances were found.
On the occasion of this development, it is emphasized once again that phenomena of corruption, delinquent behavior or abuse of power have no place in the Police Force and the suppression of such phenomena is the highest priority of the leadership of the Police.
