    In the squares and streets for Rama’s departure, Auron Tare: Protests do not harm tourism! The real threat is the concreting of protected areas

    The measures will take effect from June 19 to September 15, during weekends and public holidays. The restrictions affect means of transport of goods with a maximum authorized mass of more than 7.5 tons, as well as other categories defined in the instruction.

    They will be implemented on highways, interurban and urban roads, mainly in the segments connecting the tourist and coastal areas.

    According to the plan, traffic restrictions will apply:

    – on Friday from 15:00 to 24:00;

    – on Saturday, from 07:00 to 24:00;

    – on Sunday, from 07:00 to 24:00

    Exceptions to these restrictions are emergency vehicles, those of the State Police and other state institutions, as well as vehicles transporting essential goods, including perishable food products.

    FULL POLICY NOTICE:

    State Police/Summer season, June 15 – September 15, traffic is restricted for heavy vehicles

    We inform citizens and subjects of road transport of goods that, pursuant to joint instruction no. 106, dated 14.06.2024, of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during the summer season 2026 and during official holidays, special restrictions will be applied to the circulation of heavy vehicles, in order to guarantee road safety and improve the flow of traffic on axes with increased traffic flow.

    These restrictions apply to means of transport of goods with a maximum authorized mass of more than 7.5 tons, as well as to other categories defined in the instruction, on highways, as well as on interurban and urban roads (mainly in the segments that cross tourist areas).

    The implementation period is from June 19 to September 15 and includes weekends and public holidays.

    During this period, traffic restrictions are applied according to the following schedules:

    – on Friday from 15:00 to 24:00;

    – on Saturday, from 07:00 to 24:00;

    – on Sunday, from 07:00 to 24:00.

    For public holidays, the restrictions start from 15:00 on the preceding day until 22:00 and continue from 07:00 until 24:00 on the day of the holiday.

    The restrictive measures extend to highways, interurban roads and other axes that connect coastal and touristic areas, which during the summer season have high traffic flows.

    Excluded from these restrictions are emergency vehicles, vehicles of the State Police and other state institutions, as well as vehicles transporting essential goods (including perishable food products), in accordance with the detailed definitions in the instruction.

    In special cases, for critical supplies or emergency needs, special authorizations may be granted by the competent authorities, in accordance with the legislation in force.

    The State Police appeals for strict implementation of these measures by all transport operators and drivers, in order to prevent road accidents, avoid traffic congestion and guarantee a safe and peaceful tourist season.
