The premiere, held at Lincoln Center, became a fashion show aligned with the universe of the fictional magazine runway.
The red carpet was marked by a visual display led by Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci, who posed in front of two large sculptures of shoes with a trident on the heel, a characteristic symbol of history.
Streep, 76, reprized her role as Miranda Priestley, the demanding director of runwayand attended with an orange cape dress, accompanied by long black gloves, matching shoes and oversized sunglasses.
For her part, Hathaway, 43, who plays Andy Sachs, wore a red satin dress with a lingerie bodice and voluminous skirt, complemented by sandals of the same color.
Blunt, also 43, appeared in a light-toned, romantic-style dress, with overlapping layers of tulle, while Tucci, 65, opted for a classic dark suit with a velvet jacket, in line with his character as a mentor in the world of fashion.
Various figures from entertainment and fashion also attended the event, including actress Simone Ashley, who joins the story as a new assistant; the model Coco Rocha, the designer Christian Siriano, the singer Ciara and the athlete Russell Wilson.
