When asked about the collaboration with AUR, Marian Neacșu (PSD) stated that “every road starts with the first step. The first step discussed is the drafting and voting of a joint motion. Political decisions will be taken by the political forum.”
An internal message was allegedly sent to the social-democratic parliamentarians through which they received assurances that the approach of submitting a motions of censorship together with the AUR is a decision strictly related to the dismissal of the prime minister Ilia Bolojanwithout any intention of future collaboration, according to some political sources, he writes Antenna 3 CNN.
In the internal message, the PSD MPs were told by the party leadership that it was a “pragmatic decision” aimed at Bolojan’s dismissal and that if they had acted separately, they risked a mutual deadlock and Bolojan would have remained in office.
On the other hand, the AUR leaders also avoided a clear answer related to a possible alliance with the PSD after the motion and declared that their goal is the organization of early elections.
About eventualities discussions including other parliamentarians from the opposition to support this motion, Neacșu pointed out that he “just” made “this appeal” to his parliamentary colleagues “from all parties” who believe in “this approach”, who have text proposals that include the content of this motion and which they support by signature and then by vote are welcome”. According to him, parliamentarians of PNL dissatisfied with Ilie Bolojan.
Asked if a condition set by AUR in this pact with PSD is that he be appointed prime minister, Peiu replied that there is “no pact with PSD”.
“For now, it is a joint discussion and it was agreed to make a joint text on the motion in order not to risk having two motions and both falling. Any parliamentary collaboration is welcome and, I repeat what Mr. Neacșu also said, for now we have this discussion to see, after we finalize it, what comes next,” said Peiu.
