The Andorra Comapedrosa Astronomy Festival closed this weekend with some 600 participants between the different scheduled activities. Good weather conditions and a dark moonless sky allowed one optimal observation of the starswith the Arinsal lights out as the main act last night.
During the festival they were made observations with automated telescopesguided sky interpretation routes, one astrophotography session at Coll de la Botella and family activities. This year, the informative part focused especially on the solar eclipse of August 12that from of Andorra it will be partially visible with almost total concealment and will require the use of approved filters.
The Minister of Tourism, Mònica Soléemphasized that the festival combines “science, nature and emotion”. The appointment also had an energizing component for Arinsalwith the participation of twelve restaurants and parallel activities such as music, workshops and a yoga session at dawn.
