Paulette Lenert is to take over the organization of Luxembourg’s appearance at Expo 2030 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Foreign and Foreign Trade Minister Xavier Bettel intends to submit a corresponding proposal to the Government Council. The DP politician explained this on Tuesday morning in an interview on the radio station RTL.
The former Health Minister and Deputy Prime Minister only took up her new position as State Councilor last week. She previously represented the LSAP as a member of the Chamber.
The next government council is on Thursday
If the appointment is approved by the government council – the next meeting is on Thursday – Lenert will move into an office in Xavier Bettel’s ministry, explained the former prime minister. Bettel led Luxembourg through the pandemic together with Lenert. This also led to a friendship, like the two of themn one Daily newspaper-Interview declared last year.
The organization of the Luxembourg “pavilion” at the Expo has already been taken over by former ministers in the past.
