Damascus, June 22 (SANA) Syria’s Ministry of Health announced Sunday the launch of the “Shifa 4” medical campaign, set to begin on July 5 in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Shifa Med medical team, and the international organization MedGlobal.
The campaign will run across several governorates and continue until August 28, the ministry said, adding that registration for patients is now open.
Officials said the initiative follows previous editions of the program, including “Shifa 3,” which was launched at the end of 2025 and provided free specialist medical and surgical services to vulnerable groups under the slogan “Hand in Hand for Syria,” at the National University Hospital in Damascus.
The “Shifa” series of campaigns has also included earlier rounds that delivered free surgical interventions across multiple governorates, benefiting hundreds of patients.
According to officials, the latest campaign will involve specialist doctors from a range of medical and surgical disciplines, both inside Syria and from abroad, with the aim of supporting the healthcare sector, sharing expertise, and expanding access to specialized care for those in need.
