The Uruguayan Institute of Meteorology (Inumet) warned for a yellow alert for strong and persistent winds which will start from the early this friday and that will affect from coasts of Montevideo to those of Maldonado.
The alert starts at 05:00 and it is due to “an atmospheric depression begins to deepen over the south of the national territory.” The organization warned “sustained winds of between 40 to 50 kilometers per hour”which will also have “streaks between 60 to 80 kilometers per hour“.
