An unusual scene along the road between two Herzegovinian villages has become a real hit on social networks in recent days. At the very entrance to Turčinoviće, not far from Široki Brijeg, someone placed a white house door right next to the traffic sign, which caused an avalanche of reactions and witty comments among the locals and Facebook users.
The photo of this unusual scene quickly spread on the Internet, and the whole story received an additional dose of humor thanks to the local site “Duboko Mokro”. In the post, they joked that it was not clear whether it was an art installation or perhaps preparations for the introduction of a “border crossing” between neighboring villages.
Locals didn’t wait long to offer their own explanations. Some claimed that soon a passport will be needed to cross from Mokrog to Turčinovići, while others added that ramps, toll booths and special lanes for tractors, wedding parties and participants of local events are expected.
There were also those who linked the whole story to local restaurateurs, speculating that it was an ingenious marketing campaign related to “CARinas”, with a play on words that made social media users laugh even more.
There were also jokes about neighborly relations. Thus, some commentators concluded that “the people of Turčinović set up the door, and the Mokrans came to knock”, while others saw in everything a potential solution to the problem of parking cars coming from the neighboring village.
Although the real reason for the installation of the door remains unknown for now, one thing is certain – the unusual installation managed to attract the attention of the public and at least briefly make Herzegovinians and numerous users of social networks laugh.
