This evening, Monday, the management of the Kharoub Association leveled serious accusations against its counterpart from Batna Youth, related to an attempt to arrange the outcome of the anticipated match that will bring together the two teams in the 29th round of the Second League Amateur Championship (Central-East Group).
The management of the Kharoub Association expressed, in an official statement, its strong condemnation of what it described as “contacts and close associates of Batna’s youth contacting the team’s players,” considering that these “unsportsmanlike and completely rejected” attempts aim to “influence the players in order to facilitate the task of the opposing team in the next match.”
The management of the club representing the state of Constantine affirmed its categorical rejection of these actions that “contrary to the ethics of sports and the principles of fair competition,” reiterating its adherence to the values of integrity and transparency, and its keenness to play the rest of the matches in a sporting spirit and responsibility.
The management also expressed its full confidence in its players and their professionalism, stressing that the team will continue its journey with great determination in order to defend the club’s colors and achieve its goals.
These developments come in a sensitive situation in the second amateur league in its Central Eastern group, where the conflict intensifies two rounds before the end of the season, whether at the top of the standings or at the bottom of the table to avoid falling, which increases the heat of the competition.
This Saturday, Abed Hamdani Stadium in El Kharoub will be the scene of a fiery summit that brings together the youth of Batna, who are in second place and aspiring to rise, with the landowner, who is ranked 13th and is looking for valuable points to ensure survival.
