On the eve of the international forum on the role of constitutional oversight in protecting rights and freedoms in Algeria

Today, Sunday, May 3, the President of the Constitutional Court, Leila Asalaoui, received the President of the Constitutional Council of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Jalo Mamadou Batia.
According to what was reported by the Constitutional Court, this meeting, which was attended by members of the Constitutional Court, was an opportunity to discuss the rules of work of the two bodies, especially with regard to monitoring electoral processes, as well as the guarantees granted to guarantee rights and freedoms, most notably the mechanism for defending unconstitutionality.
The President of the Constitutional Council of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania also reviewed the facilities and spaces of the Constitutional Court, including the session hall, the deliberations hall, the library, and the museum space.
This meeting came on the eve of the third international forum of the Constitutional Court, on the role of constitutional oversight in protecting rights and freedoms in Algeria and comparative systems.
