The non-compliance with the transfer of the former mayor of Colón Alex Lee This Friday, September 25, a judicial proceeding resulted in a fine of $500 against the director of the National Aeronaval Service (Senan), commissioner Luis De Gracia.
Lee was to appear before the Accusatory Penal System (SPA) for a hearing related to an infringement of your rights.
However, the former mayor was not transferred from the penitentiary center on the Island of Coiba nor was a virtual connection enabled to guarantee their participation.
Lee’s absence prevented the proceedings from taking place, so the court questioned the failure of the authorities responsible to guarantee his appearance.
Given this situation, the court ordered sanction the head of the institution in charge of the transfer with $500in this case, the director of Senan.
The procedure must be rescheduled and the court will have to establish a new date to continue with the judicial process followed against the former mayor of Colón.
The suspended hearing was related to a request for an alleged violation of rights and required the participation of the former mayor, either through physical transfer to the SPA or through a virtual connection.
