The director of the National Police, Jaime Fernandez, This Monday, November 11, he shared details about the case of a robbery in San Francisco, where hooded men assaulted and beat three people before fleeing.
“We had almost more than a year of not having a similar situation with what we called the Gourmet Gang that was dedicated to robbing establishments. This was a regrettable case of three boys that occurred,” said Fernández.
The director did not confirm whether arrests have already been made in this case, but he announced that they remain operational and elements have already been brought to the Public Ministry.
“Yesterday there was an operation, We found a lot of information that is in the Public Ministry and in the folders. We are going to be energetic with these types of situations, unfortunately we had this assault, beyond the loss of three cell phones and a laptop, it is the fact as it happened, at the time it happened and we have to continue strengthening the National Police with more units and with more technology than what we are betting on so that this type of situation does not occur,” said the Police director.
Fernández called on the community to report the crime in a timely manner and make it easier for the authorities to provide a quick response. “The community is a key piece in the result of what we have in favor of the entire community,” he highlighted.
The video of the assault was shared through social networks, showing how the victims are on the ground, trying to calm the assailants while they are hit repeatedly. The criminals take their cell phones, take the computer and flee in a white car.
“This car was already going around in other places, it had been profiled by others, but we received the call after the incident occurred,” revealed the Police director. “As the National Police, we will not say what is appropriate for better or worse about our operations and we will continue to be energetic,” he concluded.
