Impressive gesture by Romina Gingașu, Piero Ferrari’s wife, for the family from Galați who were left without a home after a Russian drone hit the block where they lived. Impressed by the drama of the mother and her 14-year-old son, the entrepreneur decided to buy them an apartment, giving them the chance of a new beginning, after the nightmarish night that changed their lives.
The family from Galati went through dramatic moments after a drone hit the block where they lived, causing fires and major destruction.
The woman said that she woke up suddenly after a loud noise and saw the hallway of the apartment on fire. At first, he thought it was an earthquake or a short circuit, not realizing that the home had been hit by a drone.
“I started calling the child. I couldn’t hear myself either. I repeated to him: “Get out!”. The rubble had blocked part of the apartment, and there were flames in the hallway. I walked through the fire to get to him and get him out.” reported the woman, in an interview for Digi 24.

According to his testimony, the front door was blocked by debris from the ceiling. With great efforts, he managed to open it and reach his son, who was crying out that he was in pain and could not get out.
“It didn’t matter how hot I was. I had to get him out. I pushed him forward and made it to the stairs of the block”she said.
The two were later found by firefighters and transported to the hospital. Although the physical wounds are healing, the psychological trauma remains deep.

Impressed by the family drama, Romina Gingașu contacted the mother and offered her concrete support: the purchase of an apartment where she could live with her son.
“Your case impressed us and we wanted to be with you. For me it was also something sentimental, because I was also raised only by my mother. I want you to enjoy this apartment and raise your child in peace.” the entrepreneur told him, according to the cited publication.

The victim confessed that the gesture came at a time when he did not know how he would rebuild his life.

The mayor emphasized that the help offered exceeds the material value of the donation and represents a sign of hope for those affected by the tragedy.
“On behalf of the Galata community, I thank Mrs. Romina Gingașu for a gesture of rare generosity. These are deeds that not only repair destroyed walls, but also tried souls. These are gestures that show us that solidarity and humanity are stronger than anything.” Ionuț Pucheanu also said.
