The Executive Director of the Yemeni Authority for Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control, Abdullah Al-Atti, inspected the progress of work at the Dhamar Regulatory Center.
He heard clarification from the directors of the outlet, Fahd Hazza, and the supervisory center, Yousef Al-Zari, about the level of performance and the progress of implementing the supervisory and technical tasks at the center, and the most prominent challenges and difficulties facing the work, and discussed the solutions and treatments that can overcome them and enhance the efficiency of performance.
Al-Atifi stressed the importance of improving supervisory work and intensifying efforts to protect the consumer and prevent the entry of goods that violate approved specifications and standards, praising the efforts of the center’s workers and their supervisory work despite the existing challenges.
He urged redoubling efforts to speed up and simplify procedures in a way that contributes to improving the level of services and enhancing the smooth movement of goods, stressing the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination between Dhamar Customs and the regulatory center and integrating the roles between them, in a way that contributes to raising the efficiency of performance and facilitating the completion of transactions, while maintaining the regulatory and technical requirements and achieving the desired regulatory goals.
He was accompanied by the Director of the Authority’s branch in Dhamar Governorate, Engineer Abdul Basit Al-Jarmouzi.
