President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev congratulated the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, on his birthday, noting that the relations of friendship, brotherhood, and strategic partnership between the two countries will continue to develop successfully. This was reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
“I am convinced that the relations of friendship, brotherhood, and strategic partnership between the two countries will continue to develop successfully, becoming enriched with new content,” the statement reads.
Aliyev noted that the current high level of cooperation between the two countries is the result of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov’s significant contributions. The Azerbaijani leader warmly recalled their meeting on the sidelines of the 12th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Gabala last October, which took place in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and trust.
Aliyev also expressed sincere gratitude for the construction of a mosque in the city of Fuzuli as a gift to Azerbaijan and for the gifted Ahal-Teke horse.
In conclusion, the Azerbaijani leader wished Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov robust health, a long life, and success for the well-being of the Turkmen people.
