Starting from July 1 of this year, in the capital of the country, tariffs for waste removal services for the population will increase to 30%, and for enterprises – to 50%.
Relevant resolutions of district chairmen Sino, Shokhmansur, Firdavsi And Ismoili Somoni published on the official Facebook pages of these districts.
The cost of waste removal services in four districts of Dushanbe is lower.
Responsible persons explain that the concept of “poor courtyards” means houses that are in unsatisfactory condition, without high-quality repairs, where residents live with less favorable living conditions.
It should be noted that waste collection services are organized only in 14 cities and regions of Tajikistan. On average, the cost of garbage removal is 58.08 somoni per cubic meter. The waste generation rate is set at 2.05 cubic meters per year per person. Thus, the annual fee for garbage removal per person is approximately 119 somoni.
Second promotion in a year
At a press conference in February 2026, the Chairman of the Housing and Communal Services Committee, Jamshed Tabarzoda, said that from January 1 in Tajikistan, tariffs for drinking water, garbage collection and other types of utilities were increased by 15% for the population and 30% for enterprises.
Responsible persons explained the revision of tariffs by the need to improve the quality of public services, modernize engineering infrastructure and ensure sustainable activities of housing and communal services enterprises.
