Bir Lahlou (Sahrawi Republic), June 26, 2026 (SPS) – The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Front, Mr. Ibrahim Ghali, congratulated Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali and his party on the occasion of their victory in the recent Ethiopian general elections.
President Ibrahim Ghali explained in his congratulatory message, “This important achievement reflects the confidence of the Ethiopian people in your leadership and your vision for the continued progress of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. It is evidence of the confidence given to your efforts aimed at promoting stability, development and prosperity for your country.”
The President of the Republic expressed the Sahrawi Republic’s high appreciation for the long-standing ties of friendship, solidarity and mutual respect that unite the two peoples, stressing his commitment to strengthening those ties and deepening cooperation in areas of common interest, in the spirit of African unity and common aspirations for peace, development and progress on the continent.
President Ibrahim Ghali expressed his full confidence that Ethiopia, under Abiy Ahmed’s continued leadership, will continue to make great strides towards achieving its national goals and enhancing the well-being and prosperity of its people. (SPA)
