Johannesburg (South Africa), June 27, 2026 (SPS) – The General Union of Sahrawi Workers is participating in the work of the thirteenth conference of the Union of Public Administration, Services, Education and Health, known as “Nihao” for short, which is being hosted by Johannesburg in South Africa over the course of three days.
The Secretary-General of the Workers, Mr. Nafi Ahmed Mohamed, will lead a union visit during which he will meet with the Cosatu union, in addition to participating in the regular symposium of the NEOM union, which are the two forces, along with Nehaw, that constitute the largest union forces in the country.
The Sahrawi issue shaped its presence, as the Sahrawi participation received a special welcome, which is embodied by the deep-rooted relations of the South African union with its Sahrawi counterpart, as well as the consensus of the South African union forces on supporting and assisting the struggle of the Sahrawi people and their legitimate rights to freedom and independence, which is embodied by the strong South African position.
The Secretary-General of the Sahrawi Workers held several meetings with the union delegations participating in the conference, where the developments of the national issue, the suffering of the Sahrawi people, and the Sahrawi workers’ struggle formed the focus of the bilateral meetings.
