Police raided a building suspected of providing illegal cryptocurrency exchange services on Phnom Penh’s Diamond Island (Koh Pich).
On Monday afternoon, the Chamkarmon District Unified Command, led by Keang Laks, Governor of Chamkarmon district, in coordination with Phi Sithong, Deputy Prosecutor, and a joint task force led by Mao Bonet, Deputy District Governor, raided the DTT Residence, Koh Pich, Tonle Bassac commune, after receiving information from residents.
During the raid, authorities found four laptops and 10 phones.
Based on forensic analysis from the Anti-Technology Crime Bureau, an apartment was used as an illegal digital currency exchange and has been sealed off.
All evidence has been handed over to the Phnom Penh Police Station for further legal procedures.
