Nour Qutaiba draws herself in the details of the painting:
I tend towards realistic oil painting with its precision and skill
Baghdad – time
In a world crowded with colors, faces, and silent stories, the experience of painter Nour Qutaiba Ali stands out as an extension of an early relationship between childhood and art, a relationship that was not interrupted, but rather matured over time to turn into a clear path that she follows steadily. For Nour, drawing was not just a passing hobby, but rather a personal “refuge” and an integral part of her daily life, on which she relied to express herself and comprehend her surroundings.
Nour says that her actual beginning with drawing dates back to about six years ago, but the roots of this experience extend to her childhood years, where the features of her first passion for colors and lines were formed. This accumulation of time gave her the ability to deal with the painting as a free space, through which she reflects her own vision without restrictions. Despite her exposure to various artistic schools, Nour clearly leans toward realistic oil painting, a choice that requires precision, patience, and skill in capturing details. In her works, she tries to get as close to reality as possible, not only in terms of form, but also in terms of feeling, as she believes that a successful painting is one that conveys a real feeling to the recipient.
She confirms that her paintings represent a direct reflection of her personality and her love for art, as she pays great attention to minute details and seeks to carefully embody them within each work. This focus gives her works a special character, and reflects her keenness to present a complete picture, whether it is portraits or other scenes. Regarding the challenges, Nour points out that she did not face difficulties outside her surroundings, which provided her with a comfortable space to develop and continue, away from the pressures that might hinder the career of some artists in their beginnings. This relative stability helped her focus more on developing her skills and refining her artistic tools.
Nour’s experience is inseparable from her conviction that art is capable of conveying messages that go beyond the limits of aesthetics, as she believes in its role in expressing human and societal issues, even if these messages are not always direct. For her, art is a deep means of communication that goes beyond traditional language.
As for the level of ambition, its vision seems realistic and open at the same time. She is currently focusing on developing herself through continuous study and work, keeping in mind the goal of progressing step by step. She confirms that the current stage is a construction stage, which she hopes will lead it to higher levels in the future.
With this calm and gradual path, Nour Qutaiba Ali represents a model of a young artist who chose to grow artistically away from the noise, relying on passion and perseverance, on a journey that is still in its infancy but bears promising features.
