Responding to a journalist’s question, whether the DPS will support the proposed candidates for members of the RTCG Council, after the Board yesterday proposed Veselin Drljević, Radenko Lacmanović, Pavle Radovanović and Amar Škrijelj, at today’s press conference, the deputy of that party, Andrija Nikolić, said that the process was compromised from the very beginning.
“At yesterday’s session of the Administrative Committee, our deputies, who are members, did not want to give legitimacy to the voting process, but they announced what they thought about individual candidates. But you saw that some people who are professionals cannot earn the support of this parliamentary majority. It will not be the case that Olja Nikolić or Vladan Mićunović are someone who is a DPS bloke. I would not say that there is any indication of political fanaticism of those candidates. one of the issues that will be resolved following the proposed platform of part of the parliamentary opposition in talks with the parliamentary majority,” said Nikolić.
He said that the goal is not to elect the politically eligible, but to reach the best solutions with a qualified majority, through discussions between the government and the opposition.
“I think the parliamentary majority is irresponsible in relation to the process that has been started – the process of solving the parliamentary and institutional crisis through the offer presented by the opposition. It is a platform that presupposes an agreement on the final phase of EU integration, part of the horn of the agreement is the issue of the RTCG Council. If you destroy that platform by solving one of the issues outside the opposition, the process of further talks is jeopardized, we should all discuss this, including the EU delegation to Montenegro,” said Nikolić.
