The Party of European Progress (SEP) said that the mayor of Podgorica, Saša Mujović, by yesterday’s dissolution of the Board of Directors of FK Budućnost, confirmed their publicly expressed suspicions about the unprecedented financial loss and compromise of the club.
The SEP notes that Mujović did not make the relevant information available to the public, which, as they say, they requested publicly several times.
“How much did you pay the coach and sports director of FC Buducnost individually and as a package? How much did the executive director who admitted that he made a mistake, but I guess not much, earn? Who forbade the players under contract to play, and who gave them fat salaries not to play? And what were those salaries? Why did you hire 11 new players in January, while the existing ones are just sitting on the bench, and relegation is already at the door of the club? On what principle was the club formed? The board of directors of the club? Was it only the wishes of the Democrats and PES? Is it polite, and we know that it is unacceptable, to be involved in party slander like this, and turn the city’s pride into a club without an audience and fans?”
As they told Mujović, “FK Budućnost is not your grandfather”.
“With which you can do whatever you want without paying attention, but it is a symbol and property of the Capital City, which you, due to the circumstances, only manage temporarily. That is why, although you did what you should have done a long time ago by dissolving the Board of Directors, you did not close the case. You still owe answers,” SEP said in a statement.
Mujović is being told that regardless of whether he persistently ignores the questions, trying to defend yesterday’s “party mischief in the Board of Directors” or “keeps quiet to cover his own responsibility”, he must be aware that information about the events and processes at FK Budućnost will be published at some point.
“Either by your will, or by the activities of state authorities based on the information and initiatives that the opposition will submit. You choose the path,” SEP concluded.
