President Nicușor Dan avoided, on Monday, April 27, in an exclusive intervention at Digi FMto directly answer the question regarding the maintenance of political support for the prime minister Ilia Bolojan. Nicușor Dan explained that, in the current tense context, his role is that of a mediator between the parties involved in the political crisis.
“For months I have been talking with some and others, UDMR, USR. I found that the tension is increasing. We are in a moment where there is an irreconcilable position,” the president said.
Dan Nicușor pointed out that the political dialogue continues and that the meeting scheduled for Monday at 10:00 a.m. takes place in a civilized setting.

The invitation comes after the president signed the ministers’ resignations P.S.D and the temporary proposals from the Government.
After the triggering of the political crisis by the withdrawal by P.S.D of political support for Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, the head of state held consultations last Wednesday at the Cotroceni Palace with the political formations in the governing coalition, at the end of which he showed that their representatives affirmed their willingness to cooperate with regard to the essential projects for Romania in the next period – the accession to the OECD, the implementation of the SAFE and PNRR programs.
