LUCKNOW, India, Apr 27, CMC – Sunil Narine starred for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), but Nicholas Pooran’s miserable season in the Indian Premier League (IPL) continued as his Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) went down to the KKR in a Super Over on Sunday.
LSG did well to limit the visitors to 155 for seven after winning the toss and sending them into bat at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium.

However, faced with a straightforward run chase, the home side needed a six off the last delivery from Mohammed Shami to get up to 155 for eight in their 20 overs.
Pooran made just nine off 12 balls before dismissed by Varun Chakravarthy.
The left-handed Trinidadian was then entrusted to open the batting for LSG in the Super Over, but was bowled by Narine off the very first ball.
Two balls later, Narine snared the wicket of Aiden Markram – also for a duck – with LSG having scored a solitary run.
Needing just two runs for victory, Rinku Singh hit Prince Yadav’s first ball for four to end the contest.
