Naeem Qassem: The agreement between Lebanon and Israel is “humiliating and disgraceful”.

According to Al-Manar, Sheikh Qassem said in a statement about the framework agreement between the Lebanese and Israeli authorities: “With this action, the ruling body of Lebanon legitimizes the survival of the occupiers for many years, and it may even reach the annexation of these lands to the Zionist regime.”

He added: “Conditioning Israel’s withdrawal to the disarmament of the resistance is a very dangerous action that crosses all red lines.”

The Secretary General of Hezbollah said: “This agreement is fundamentally invalid and the provisions of the Iran-US Memorandum of Understanding must be implemented.”

Sheikh Qasim stated: “You stabbed the resistance in the back in the middle of the war and from the very first moment; And by introducing the resistance as a force outside the law, now is the time to retreat from your mistakes that are destroying Lebanon.”

The Secretary General of Hezbollah emphasized: “The resistance did not leave the field in the most difficult conditions and will not leave.”

Lebanon and Israel reached a framework for a future agreement last Friday after five rounds of negotiations and four days of consultations in Washington with the mediation of the United States. This framework was signed in the presence of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Lebanon’s Ambassador to the US, Neda Hamadeh Moawad, and Israel’s Ambassador to Washington, Yekhil Leiter.

According to the report of the American news site Axios, this agreement outlines the path of future negotiations between the two parties and includes initial implementation measures.

This website quoted an Israeli official as saying that according to this agreement, the Zionist regime will maintain its presence in the security zone known as the “Yellow Line” until the disarmament of Hezbollah.
