The national team of Uruguay experienced a debacle at this year’s World Cup. The “Sky Blues” are saying goodbye to the World Cup after the group stage with only two points won.
Experienced goalkeeper Fernando Muslera contributed to the poor performance of Uruguay at the review of the best football teams in the world. He made as many as three mistakes that led to rivals’ goals, which is also the first time this has happened to a goalkeeper at the World Cup since 1966.

He apologized to his teammates and the Uruguayan people, aware that it was not enough.
“I apologize to my teammates and the people of Uruguay for my World Cup. Although it will never be enough,” said an emotional Muslera.
