Basseterre, St. Kitts, Monday, April 13, 2026: On Friday, April 10, Minister of Education, Hon. Dr. Geoffrey Hanley, hosted a special brunch at The Lagos, Half Moon Bay, in recognition of public school principals and deputy principals across St. Kitts.
The event served as a gesture of appreciation for the leadership and dedication shown within the education sector, with Minister Hanley commending attendees for their continued commitment to shaping the academic and personal development of students island-wide.
In addition to the expressions of gratitude, participants received gift packages and laptops intended to support both administrative duties and classroom instruction.
Outstanding service was also acknowledged during the occasion, with Mr. Dale Phipps recognized as the longest-serving male principal, while Ms. Suzette Cannonier was honoured as the longest-serving female principal.
The gathering underscored the Ministry’s ongoing commitment to valuing educators and strengthening support for school leadership throughout the Federation.
