As for motherhood, Marina Makri admitted that she never felt fully prepared, choosing not to push herself. “For better or for worse, at no point in my pregnancy did I go into the process of preparing. I would start reading books on motherhood to prepare myself, but I would lose interest and put them away. I think there is no “manual”. So I didn’t push myself. I never even imagined what it would be like – how can I know something I haven’t experienced? The nine months of pregnancy definitely gave me the time to “prepare”, that is, to realize that something is going to change a lot. I told myself the baby will show me.”
