A man died after being struck by lightning during Khmer New Year festivities in Kratie Province.
Witnesses reported that following heavy rain, a young man was struck by lightning and died instantly. The tragedy took place at 5:15pm on April 15 at Wat Vihathom Sarsor 100 in Sambor Village, Sambor Commune, Sambor District, Kratie Province.
Another individual was seriously injured in the incident. Local authorities responded promptly to investigate, and the injured person was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities urge citizens to exercise caution, particularly during the rainy season when thunderstorms are frequent. People are advised to avoid open areas and large trees to reduce the risk of lightning strikes.
