According to the National Meteorology and Hydrology Service of Peru (Senamhi) localities on the coast and some sectors of the southern mountains report “little cloudiness”, which will then generate a sensation of increased daytime temperature and UV radiation.

It is worth remembering that this week, as Senamhi predicted, increases in temperature and sensation of heat were recorded on the central and northern coast of the country, as well as peaks in ultraviolet radiation during midday.
From today, Friday, April 10, until the 14th of this month, daytime temperatures will remain above normal on the Peruvian coast, especially in areas far from the coast.
“These conditions are mainly associated with the sea surface temperature and the entry of northerly winds at low levels during some days of the period. This atmospheric configuration favors the decrease in cloud cover and the transport of warmer air towards the coastal region, which will contribute to maintaining high temperatures, especially in districts far from the coast”they detailed on April 7.
Despite the presence of fog and clouds during the first hours of the day in the coastal area, clear skies and gusts of wind are expected from midday and during the afternoon hours. For the nights, cloudiness is forecast with a chance of scattered rain on the northern and central coast.
