He mentioned that drugs are an international problem and the fight against it is the joint responsibility of all, and he added that the Ministry of Public Health is fully committed to the treatment of addicts, and in this regard, expanding public awareness programs and strengthening and increasing the capacity of treatment centers; There are good examples.
In addition, Moulavi Hamdullah Zahid, Minister of Food and Medicines of the Ministry of Public Health, said: “Based on the decree of His Highness Amirul Momineen, the cultivation of drugs has been banned in the entire country and no one can grow drugs.”
He has added: “Those who are trying and helping in the propagation, distribution and habitation of drugs at the regional and international level should be stopped in order to save people from the evil and harm of this evil phenomenon.”
Similarly, Hafiz Inamullah Ammar, head of the National Addiction Treatment Program, said that last year, more than 45,000 drug addicts were treated and public awareness programs were conducted for about 300,000 people.
In this meeting, Dr. Wahdat Al-Kozi, Chief Medical Officer of the Ministry of Public Health, representatives of the World Health Organization and the European Union, in their turn; He talked about the fight against drugs, public awareness and the progress made and promised full cooperation with the Ministry of Public Affairs.
