After the tense ceasefire of April 8, we live in “armed peace”. Mojtaba Khamenei’s rise to power in Tehran radicalized the Iranian regime, which kept the Strait of Hormuz blocked and the world economy hostage. On the ground, Israeli forces consolidated their occupation of southern Lebanon up to the Litani River.
Estimates indicate that the conflict has already involved more than 5,000 deaths in ten countries, with Iran and Lebanon to concentrate the largest number of civilian and military victims. Furthermore, the UN warns of an unprecedented displacement crisis, with 4 million people forced to leave their homes.
