As Alpha revealed through the show “Alpha Update”, the three-month-old baby girl remains in the refrigerator of his morgue Nicosia General Hospital.
In his statements on the show, OKYPY’s Press Representative, Charalambos Charilaou, explained that the issue is related to legal issues. In particular, he clarified that in order to give the state the right to proceed with the burial, an order must be given by the coroner, once the trial of the parents is completed. In this case it appears that the death investigation has not yet been completed.
He made it clear that if there are no relatives who are interested in receiving the body and proceeding with a funeral and burial, then there are Metropolises that have space and hold the funeral Mass.
For his part, the lawyer Christos Cleridis emphasized that a dead infant is not a presumption for legal proceedings, but the findings of the respective autopsy.

The infant lived in squalid conditions in a slum apartment and even had bites on his head, legs and hands. Probably from insects such as ants and fleas.
