H Renault officially received the “Best Buy Car of Europe 2026” award for the Renault 4 at a special ceremony held at the iconic Roland Garros in Paris, confirming the success of the French brand’s new electric model. The award took place in a highly symbolic environment, as the Renault was this year the official premium sponsor of the famous Roland Garros tennis tournament. The award was presented to Fabrice Cambolive, Chief Growth Officer of the Renault Group and CEO of the Renault Brand, by AUTOBEST’s founder, Dan Vardie, on behalf of the organization’s jury of motoring journalists from 32 European countries.

This distinction is of particular importance, as the Renault 4 is the first winner of the new AUTOBEST CONQUEST 2026 institution. This innovative platform has changed the way the winner is selected, combining the vote of professional automotive journalists with that of the public from across Europe.
In his speech, Fabrice Cambolive emphasized that the distinction reflects both the recognition of experts and the trust of consumers. As mentioned, the Renault 4 E-Tech electric was designed to meet the daily needs of drivers, combining practicality, flexibility, advanced connectivity and a design that draws inspiration from the historic Renault 4. At the same time, he underlined that the model has already managed to emerge as the leading electric B-SUV on the French market, in a segment that is in the early stages of the electric transition.
For his part, Dan Vardie described the award as a historic moment for the organization, pointing out that for the first time in AUTOBEST’s 25 years the winner was chosen equally by journalists and the general public. In fact, in addition to the 32 European countries that participated in the process, votes were also recorded from 28 more countries in America, Asia and Africa, which demonstrates the international appeal of the new institution.
The successful ceremony at Roland Garros marks another important milestone for AUTOBEST CONQUEST, which aspires to become a global platform that unites the automotive industry, media and car users themselves. At the same time, his award Renault 4 confirms the dynamics of the new electric model, which is already one of the most important launches of the European market for 2026.
