How much money does a family of four need for a seven-day vacation in Montenegro?

In recent years, Tivat has become one of the most attractive tourist destinations on the Montenegrin coast. The well-kept beaches, Porto Montenegro, the rich gastronomic offer and the location in the heart of Boka Kotorska attract an increasing number of tourists, but at the same time bring about an increase in prices.

In the middle of the season, he gives away five days of vacation in a house with a swimming pool in Istria

If we exclude luxury complexes such as Porto Montenegro and Luštice Bay, the question arises as to how much money a family of four should allocate for a seven-day vacation in the height of the summer season, writes Radio Tivat.

According to the analysis of the available prices of accommodation and catering services, a family should plan between 1,200 and 2,400 euros for a seven-day summer vacation in Tivat during July and August, depending on the choice of accommodation, the number of meals in restaurants and additional costs such as renting sunbeds.

    Accommodation is the biggest expense

The largest part of the budget goes to accommodation.

An apartment for four people in Seljanovo or Donja Lastva during the high season costs on average around 1,260 euros for seven nights. In the center of Tivat, the price is slightly lower and amounts to around 1,120 euros, while in Dumidran and Gradiošnica you can find accommodation for around 840 euros.

On the Luštica peninsula, prices depend on the location. In Radovići, which is located near the Plavi horizonti beach, a seven-day stay in an apartment for four people costs around 700 euros, while a family will spend approximately 980 euros for similar accommodation in Krašići, next to the coast.

    Food and drink

Food and drink prices do not differ significantly between individual parts of Tivat, except that restaurants in the center are generally slightly more expensive.

Morning coffee costs between 1.10 and 1.80 euros, while breakfast for a family of four in a restaurant costs from 15 to 25 euros. During the seven days, you need to spend between 105 and 175 euros for breakfast.

When it comes to main meals, the prices are as follows:

    – pizza from 7.30 to 12.50 euros
    – a portion of kebab from 8.50 to 9.50 euros
    – grilled dishes and meat specialties up to 14 euros

Continuation of the news below the ad

A family dinner with pizza costs around 20 euros, while a complete lunch with drinks for four people is between 60 and 80 euros.

If a family eats two meals a day in restaurants, the daily cost is between 60 and 80 euros, that is, from 460 to 560 euros for seven days.

Continuation of the news below the ad

If all three daily meals are eaten in restaurants, the total cost of food and drinks can reach around 1,050 euros.

    Deck chairs are not cheap

In recent years, the prices of deckchairs have attracted the special attention of tourists.

A family of four will spend between 40 and 70 euros per day for two deckchairs and an umbrella, which in seven days means up to 400 euros in additional costs.

That’s more than many families spend on grocery shopping during their entire vacation.

    The final calculation

When you add up accommodation, food, drinks, parking, basic groceries and beach expenses, a seven-day vacation in Tivat looks like this:

    – Radovići – about 1,200 euros
    – Dumidran and Gradiošnica – about 1,500 euros
    – Krašići – about 1,800 euros
    – Center of Tivat – about 2,000 euros
    – Seljanovo and Donja Lastva – up to 2,400 euros

This means that a family that chooses the most expensive parts of Tivat can spend up to 1,200 euros more than those that vacation in quieter parts of the municipality.

Although the prices are increasing from year to year, Tivat still attracts a large number of guests, primarily because of its natural beauty, the proximity of numerous beaches and the rich tourist offer. However, for a carefree seven-day vacation, a family of four today has to count on a budget of at least 1,200 euros, while those who want more comfort and dine more often in restaurants will easily spend twice as much.
