    Homat Al-Watan in Minya organizes the first mass conference to raise awareness of the comprehensive health insurance system


    Within the framework of its national and societal role to support the efforts of the Egyptian state and spread awareness of national issues, it organized Homeland Protectors Party In Minya Governorate, the first public awareness conference on the comprehensive health insurance system was held at the Bihu Youth Center in Samalout Center, under the title: “The comprehensive health insurance system…a vision towards a better health future for all Egyptians.”

    The conference witnessed the participation of Major General Imad Kadwani, Governor of Minya, Representative Alaa Makadi, Secretary of the Hamat al-Watan Party in Minya Governorate, Engineer Helmi Gawish, Member of the Senate and Assistant Secretary of the Party, and Dr. Mahmoud Omar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Minya, along with members of the parliamentary body of the Hamat al-Watan Party, Representative Dr. Ahmed Farouk, Member of the Senate, Representative Abdel Rasoul Club, Member of the House of Representatives, Representative Hawari Abu Tahir, Member of the House of Representatives, and a number of executive, popular, and party leaders. And Islamic and Christian clerics, members of the party in its various secretariats, and representatives of the authorities concerned with the health sector, in the presence of a large crowd of people in the governorate.

    Major General Imad Kadwani stressed that the comprehensive health insurance system represents one of the largest national projects launched by the Egyptian state to achieve a qualitative shift in the level of health services, noting that Minya Governorate is preparing to benefit from the system in a way that serves about 7 million citizens, calling on the media, political parties, unions, and civil society organizations to intensify awareness efforts and urge citizens to register to benefit from the system’s services.

    For his part, Representative Alaa Makadi, Secretary of the party in the governorate, confirmed that organizing the conference comes within the plan of the Homeland Protectors Party to support the state’s efforts in spreading awareness of the comprehensive health insurance system and introducing citizens to its benefits and mechanisms for benefiting from it, indicating that implementing the system in Minya reflects the state’s interest in the people of the governorate and represents an important addition to the development process and improving the quality of life.

    Engineer Helmy Gawish, a member of the Senate and Assistant Secretary of the party, also explained that the conference comes within a series of awareness-raising events and seminars organized by the party in various governorate centers, out of belief in the importance of community participation in the success of this national project, which represents one of the basic pillars of building the Egyptian human being.

    The conference activities included an awareness presentation about the goals of the system, its advantages, registration mechanisms and benefiting from its services, amid great interaction from citizens and a keenness to learn about the registration steps and stages of implementing the system in the governorate.

    The conference was prepared and organized by a committee of party leaders in Minya that included Representative Abdel Wahab Karim, Assistant Secretary of the Party, Professor Saeed Abdel Sattar, Secretary of Membership, Professor Hussein Al-Masry, Secretary of Training and Education, Dr. Hana Abdel Hamid, Secretary of Women, Dr. Safaa Al-Jundi, Secretary of Health Affairs, Dr. Shatha Sanusi, Secretary of Scientific Research, Counselor Walid Rabie Nasr, Secretary of Housing, Dr. Reham, Advisor to the Women’s Secretariat, and Professor Mustafa Mohani Khalaf. Assistant Secretary of the Egyptians Abroad Secretariat, and Mr. Ahmed Hassan, Assistant Secretary of the Organization Secretariat.

    The Homeland Protectors Party confirms the continuation of its awareness-raising efforts during the next phase in cooperation with various concerned parties, in support of the success of the comprehensive health insurance system and achieving the maximum possible benefit for citizens from the health services it provides.
