Representative Mohammed Jassim Al Aliwi extended his sincere congratulations and blessings to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahraini Bar Association and all its members and to all lawyers on the occasion of Bahraini Lawyer’s Day, which is celebrated on the fifteenth of June every year, in appreciation of the national and professional role played by the lawyer in establishing the foundations of justice and strengthening the rule of law. Asking the Almighty God to crown their endeavors with success and prosperity.
He pointed out that the annual celebration of Bahraini Lawyer’s Day this year coincided with the ratification of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the country’s great king, of the new Law No. 24 of 2026 on the legal profession. In the same context, he thanked the country’s great king for this ratification, which constitutes real support for lawyers and at the same time reflects the wise leadership’s keenness to develop the justice system and enhance the role of the lawyer as an essential partner in building the state of law.
Al Aliwi expressed his deep pride and pride in every male and female lawyer who carries the message of justice with all dedication, sincerity and honesty, stressing that celebrating Bahraini Lawyer Day embodies the high status that the legal profession enjoys in society.
While lawyer Muhammad Al-Othman pointed out that the issuance of the Law on the Legal Profession and its ratification on Bahraini Lawyers’ Day is a message of appreciation to Bahraini lawyers from His Majesty the King, as it is considered a basic building block in the legal structure of the state of law and institutions. As for the legal profession as a major part of the judicial facility, lawyers represent the judiciary standing in all countries of the world, and justice is not complete except through the legal profession.
In international norms, law is not just a profession for making a living, but rather a sublime humanitarian mission aimed at establishing the rules of justice and affirming the rule of law. It is the fortified shield that protects the rights and freedoms of individuals from any infringement or loss. The essence of this message is based on integrity, honor, and honesty, as the lawyer partners with the judiciary in searching for the truth and achieving justice. The lawyer is armed with knowledge and law to guide society towards stability and the preservation of human dignity.
Lawyer Jassim Ibrahim Al-Issa also pointed out that Bahraini Lawyer Day is a national occasion in which we remember the great role that lawyers play in serving justice and protecting rights and freedoms, and it constitutes an opportunity to appreciate the efforts made by members of the profession in order to uphold the rule of law and consolidate the principles of justice on which the modern state was founded.
He added that the legal profession has witnessed, in recent years, a qualitative shift that has strengthened its position and consolidated its institutional role, which reflects the insightful vision of the wise leadership in supporting the justice system and developing its tools. At the forefront of this support comes the royal patronage that the profession has received from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the country, through the approval of the Bahraini Bar Law and its amendments, which came in response to the requirements of the stage and developments in legal work, in a way that ensures strengthening the status of the lawyer, preserving his independence, and enabling him to perform his professional duty to the fullest.
While lawyer Zainab Issa said that His Majesty the King’s ratification of the new legal profession law for the year 2026 represents a pivotal legislative milestone in the process of developing the justice system in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and reflects the royal vision in support of modernizing national legislation to keep pace with rapid legal and economic changes.
She added that the new law is not limited to introducing formal amendments to the framework regulating the profession, but rather establishes a new phase aimed at re-engineering the regulatory environment for the legal sector, in a way that contributes to enhancing the efficiency of the judicial facility and raising its competitiveness, by establishing quality standards in advisory performance and judicial representation.
