The story that has caused international outrage took a key turn: Erika María Herrera, 63, was arrested, accused of the feminicide of her daughter-in-law, the former beauty queen Carolina Flores Gómez, 27.
The capture was made in Caracas, Venezuela, after the woman had remained on the run since April 15, the day the crime occurred inside the victim’s apartment, in Polanco, Mexico City.
