The Harir Foundation for Community Development’s rise to the honoring platform in Dubai was not the culmination of a passing initiative, but rather the result of years of field work that made the Foundation a Jordanian model in human service, which culminated in its winning the Top Humanity Leaders Awards 2026, in recognition of its contributions to community development and humanitarian work.
The honor came during a ceremony held in the Emirate of Dubai under the official patronage of His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Sultan bin Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in the presence of Arab figures representing the humanitarian, media and artistic sectors, in celebration of the initiatives that have left a tangible impact in their societies.
The award was received by the Executive Director of the Foundation, Nihad Debbas, who confirmed that this achievement represents an appreciation for all the efforts made over the past years and reflects the confidence of regional institutions in the role that “Harir” plays in empowering children, youth, and women, and launching development initiatives that seek to make a sustainable impact in society.
The Foundation’s presence was not limited to the honoring platform, but the occasion represented an opportunity to introduce Arab and media figures to its humanitarian mission and programs, as the Foundation delegation reviewed the most prominent initiatives it implemented inside Jordan, which are based on empowering the most needy groups and promoting the culture of volunteerism and community partnership.
This honor places the Harir Foundation among the Arab institutions that have been able to transform local initiatives into a model that gains regional recognition, stressing that humanitarian work is no longer measured only by the number of initiatives, but rather by its ability to make a real and sustainable impact on people’s lives.
The Foundation stressed that the award represents a new responsibility before it is a medal, indicating that it will continue to expand its humanitarian programs and strengthen its partnerships in a way that consolidates Jordan’s presence in the fields of humanitarian work and community development at the Arab and international levels.
