    From eight-time champion to founder of a travel company: the path of Khaidar Ibragimov

    Entrepreneurship, developing international cooperation, entering new markets are tasks that require professionalism, foresight, leadership skills and strong will. Over the years, this is the path the founder and CEO has taken and continues to develop. Transavia Express Haydar Ibragimov.

    His company provides logistics and freight forwarding services and has been operating on the market since 2008. The main advantage of Transavia Express services is systematic, reliable logistics that meets international standards. The company knows how to build complex logistics chains and work with large international organizations, diplomatic missions and financial institutions.

    Transfers, own fleet of vehicles, charter flights, aircraft ground handling, hotel reservations and many other services are what people turn to Transavia Express for.

    In addition, the company is an accredited agency of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

    But without competent management, such activities would not be able to establish themselves in the market.

    Athlete. Supervisor. Entrepreneur.

    Today Khaidar Ibragimov is a major entrepreneur and public figure, but his path began in the world of sports in his distant childhood.

    He is an eight-time national champion in athletics at a distance of 800 meters and a participant in international competitions. In 2012, Khaidar Ibragimov was elected president of the Republic Swimming Federation. He held this position until 2016, and it was during this period that Tajik swimmers entered the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

    During the leadership of the Federation, large-scale work was carried out aimed at:

    • development and popularization of swimming;

    • strengthening the organizational structure of the Federation;

    • support for athletes and coaches;

    • expansion of international sports cooperation;

    • participation in national and international sporting events.

    Particular attention was paid to creating conditions for the growth of young athletes, increasing the level of training of coaches and strengthening the position of Tajik swimming in the international arena.

    One of the priority areas of work during the leadership of the Federation was the development of international relations and professional exchange of experience.

    As part of this activity, representatives of Tajikistan took part in international specialized courses and preparatory programs in Doha, where 4 athletes and 1 coach were sent.

    “Sports became my first school of discipline and leadership. He taught me responsibility, teamwork and the ability to function under pressure and competition.

    Gradually I realized that these qualities are directly applicable in business. The transition happened naturally – I simply transferred the sports approach to entrepreneurial activity: consistency, perseverance and result orientation. Over time, this led me to developing my own business in the field of tourism and aviation, where strategy, team and long-term partnerships are especially important,” says Haydar Ibragimov.

    And today his social activities are directly related to his professional and life principles.

    “I actively support the development of sports, youth initiatives and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle. At the same time, I contribute to the development of international cooperation through tourism and aviation. Over the years, Transavia Express has formed one of the largest portfolios of contracts with international airlines.

    In particular, we represented Azerbaijan Airlines in Tajikistan, providing a high level of service. It is important for me not only to develop business, but also to bring practical benefits to society and strengthen international ties,” he shares.

    The road to tourism

    Long-term partnerships and international interaction – this is what once attracted Haydar Ibragimov to the tourism sector. As he notes, this is an industry that brings people, countries and opportunities together. This is not just a business, but a direction where trust and service are important.

    “I was interested in the fact that here you can simultaneously develop the economy, build long-term partnerships and help people travel and discover the world. Over time, we also reached the level of working with international airlines, which confirmed the correctness of the chosen direction and its strategic importance,” he says.

    As in sports, the principles on which all work is built are important here.

    “In sports, I learned that the result is always the result of daily work, and not one-time efforts. I completely transferred this approach to entrepreneurship. Another important principle is teamwork: in business, as in sports, it is impossible to achieve serious results alone. That’s why I always focus on the team, trust and a clear distribution of responsibilities,” he emphasizes.

    And here, in his opinion, it is important to be not just a leader, but a leader.

    “And to be a competent leader, you need to know how to organize your employees through respect and personal example. I believe that a strong team is formed not through control, but through trust and responsibility. I use clear assignment of tasks, open communication and involvement of employees in the overall goals of the company. It is important that everyone understands their role and impact on the overall result. Motivation through development is also of great importance – when a person sees growth and prospects, he works more effectively and consciously,” shares Khaidar Ibragimov.

    “Step by step, without unnecessary emotions”

    It is also important for the manager himself to have motivation and inspiration to create something new and grow in the market. As Khaidar Ibragimov admitted, he is inspired by the result and the feeling that his work brings real benefits to people.

    “When you see that your work is helping to grow a business, create jobs and open up new opportunities for people, there is additional motivation to move on. I’m also always motivated by the desire for development – not to stop there and constantly improve the level of what you do,” he says.

    When crisis situations arise, which often happen in business, Khaidar Ibragimov continues to be helped by his experience in sports and the ability to remain calm under pressure. He tries to divide problems into specific tasks and solve them sequentially. It is also important, notes Khaidar Ibragimov, not to lose focus and act systematically – step by step, without unnecessary emotions, relying on experience and the team.

    And during such periods, his closest people provide him with emotional support.

    “My family believes in me the most. These are the people who are always there, regardless of the results and circumstances. It is their support that gives me confidence and strength in difficult moments. In difficult situations, it is important to know that there are people who understand you and share your goals,” shares Khaidar Ibragimov.

    “Not advertising, but trust”

    The development of entrepreneurial and international projects, the ability to build partnerships at the local and international levels require active work with clients, and most importantly, the creation of a base of those very clients who remain with the company until the end.

    “It’s not advertising that keeps a client, but trust. If a person sees honesty, stable quality of service and responsibility in work, he comes back again. The basis is always a simple rule – keep promises and be a reliable partner in any situation,” says Haydar Ibragimov.

    A successful businessman advises young entrepreneurs:

    “My main advice is to start acting as early as possible and not be afraid of mistakes. Experience comes only through practice. It is important to be disciplined, honest and patient because sustainable success is not built quickly. And the most important thing is to think not only about personal gain, but also about the benefit you bring to society and your country.”
