Flights at Munich airport were suspended for about an hour on Saturday due to reports of possible drone flights, the German airport said.
Shortly after 9 take-off and landing were stopped, but around At 10:05, the alert was lifted, an airport spokesman said.
Two pilots had reported a suspicious sighting. An investigation was launched and a police helicopter was involved.
After the investigation found nothing, the air traffic ban was lifted and air traffic resumed, an airport spokesman said.
In general in Munich 26 planes were unable to land due to the temporary closure of the runways and were diverted to alternative airports, the spokesman explained.
The planes that were temporarily suspended are now expected to depart gradually, with delays.
The airport remained open during the suspension, the spokesman said.
Even when the runways were closed, passengers were able to access the terminal, check-in, park and go through security as normal.
